Leaving Time/directions

Hey everyone, below are directions if anyone gets lost. I was wondering if it is feasible to leave thursday evening or early afternoon on friday? I feel it is a big energy drain to leave around 5pm Friday...

- 95/295 south
- 495 (east/south) after crossing over from NH
- 290 (east/south) towards Worcester
- Mass Pike (rt. 90) east
- Take the Mass Pike for one exit to rt. 84 south
- 84 all the way towards Hartford --> Waterbury --> NY state
- After crossing into NY, pick up 684, towards Brewster
- Look for signs for the Saw Mill Parkway (can only go one direction)
- After approx 15-20 mins on the Saw Mill, look for Tappan Zee Bridge, 84/287
- Cross the Tappan Zee
- Exit 14B
- Right off ramp
- Go through several lights and around big bend
- At the second light after big bend, take a right onto College Rd.
- First house on left, brown, uphill.

Bring coins for tolls!!!
Josh

i can leave as early as 2pm friday.....sorry
Callie

I can be ready to go by 3pm.

Here's the scoop on cars:
there's mine (room for 3, 3 bikes)
there's __________ (?)

We're in need of a car here since Pat is still not feeling top notch and will not be coming this weekend. I would prefer to leave him with his car, mostly because this is such a loooonnnggg drive to West Point.

Do any of you all have a car? Josh, just how small is your car despite not having roof racks?

Also, you should all know that due to our substantial jersey order this year and the burden of a few leftover kits, we are currently in debt to athletics. This translates into potentially not having gas reimbursements for the remainder of the season. This may or may not affect how you all feel about coming this weekend, but you should know that if you are volunteering to drive.

So let's figure out cars, make sure we can get folks to the race, and meet at 3pm at Dana as usual.

Thanks for your patience everyone!
Josh

my car can fit me, 2 other ppl, and 2 bikes

i cant really pay for gas, w/ or w/out re-imbursements

and my car told me i needed service starting about 1300 miles ago

that being said, if we want to take it, im down. could we borrow alex's roof rack? we may be able to squeeze in a fourth person (not fold down rear seats) but i doubt it, the trunk isnt that big.

let me know
Christian

trainers

Hey, is it possible to borrow some trainers from people who are not going to army? I do wish I had one of my own, but I am forced to borrow and I feel there will not be enough for all of us to get a decent warm up in. And when it is 40? and raining (weather for saturday), you need a good warm up......
Callie

Josh- what if we were able to get you Alex's roof racks... could you then take 4 people and gear in the trunk? As for the gas $ question-- you need to figure that out among you and the people riding in your car.

I figured we could take four bikes in the back of my car, two people up front and gear.

As far as I know, people coming this weekend are:
me
Morgan
Josh
Christian
Soren
Byron

Am I missing anybody?? Is someone now not going among the above mentioned??

As for trainers, you ought to contact those people directly and not wait for them to read this and offer them to you.

People who I know have trainers who are not coming:
Alex
Lexi
Meg

Keep me posted on the car situation.
Josh

callie -
roof racks would be chill
my trunk isnt big enough to fit a bike (at least i dont think, i tried it once without wheels on and it didnt want to happen so i didnt force the issue)
that being said i have fold down seats.

If its only 6 people and I had roof racks I could most likely fit 3 ppl and 3 bikes (1 in the car w. 1 seat and possibly middle part folded down) and 2 on the roof, and then you could take 3 ppl and 3 bikes?
or if u wanted to take the extra bike we could take the extra person.
I have class 1-2 so let me know where i can meet up with alex to get the roof racks (assuming its cool with her).

So i guess fine, ill drive......
Callie

Josh-
You should get in touch with Alex yourrself to feel out the roof rack situation. Email (acjospe@colby.edu) is usually the best way to get a hold of her.

Given bikes will more easily fit into my car than people once the back seat comes down, I think I should take 4 bikes and two people, and you should take visa-versa.

If you really don't want to drive/don't think it's a good idea to drive your car, all I'm saying is that folks should start asking around to see if they have a friend willing to part ways with their car for the weekend. I'm not really in a position to be asking my friends as I can't even say I'm the one who will be driving their car.... see how it's kind of up to you guys as you will be the ones driving the other vehicle?

Thanks for helping figure this out.
